Biography

Born in Sparta, Kratos is a demigod son of Zeus, and is later a full God himself by becoming the titular God of War, with incredible superhuman god-like power and combat skills. Kratos was once a respected soldier and Spartan General, until he lost his wife and daughter when he killed them, albeit by accident, under Ares' command, earning him the nickname of the "Ghost of Sparta", after which he renounced his service to the War God, eventually killing him and ascending to Godhood by becoming the new and full "God of War". Kratos, as the God of War, began to exact revenge against his father, the Olympians and the Titans who betrayed him, remaining forever a full god in the process before departing to another realm. After successfully exacting his vengeance, Kratos escaped into the world of Norse Gods by settling down in Midgard in Ancient Norway where he married another woman named Faye and bore a son named Atreus who together, after the boy's mother’s death, would embark on a journey to spread her ashes at the highest peak of all the nine realms.
As a demigod son of Zeus, and later the God of War, Kratos possesses the most powerful and incredible godly superhuman physical prowess. His superhuman strengths and god-powers are currently beyond that of any mortal, beast and most of gods which were further augmented via intensive military training since his childhood by a Spartan school and later surpassing all other Greek Demigods and even Olympian Gods and Titans alike. The exact limits of his power are yet to be determined and are unknown. His absorption of the many powers of the Gods seemingly enhanced his powers. Due to these abilities, combined with his combat experience over the years Kratos was able to defeat monsters, many types of magical beings, Titans and even the Olympian Gods themselves. Despite losing most of the abilities he took from the Olympian Gods after leaving Greece, his divine physical capabilities, superhuman godlike powers and strength, and combat skills didn't hamper at all, as he has displayed the ability to outmatch the most physically powerful of the Norse Gods, such as Baldur and Magni. When using the Spartan Rage, he was able to easily scare off Modi. With the knowledge of Kratos being involved in Ragnarok being enough to make Odin fear him, it seems that Kratos' might rival, if not, surpasses that of Thor and Odin, two of the most powerful Norse Gods.

The Blades of Chaos, forged in the foulest depths of Hades. Once attached the blades remained so, chained and seared to the flesh, a part of the bearer's body. A permanent reminder of Kratos' pledge.

  β€’ LEVIATHAN AXE
  (Press Photo to Zoom)

It was forged by the Huldra Brothers, Sindri and Brok, who also forged Thor's hammer, MjΓΆlnir, after feeling responsible for the destruction brought about by Thor. As a weapon made to oppose the power of MjΓΆlnir and inspired by the epic size of JΓΆrmungandr, Brok suggests the axe be named Leviathan. According to Sindri when first meeting him, the weapon was infused with the echoing screams of twenty frost trolls and it was made for and given to Laufey who passed it on to her husband Kratos, before her death.

  β€’ GUARDIAN SHIELD
